2017 ASAP SERVICED APARTMENT INDUSTRY AWARDS CATEGORIES

With the introduction of a brand new award recognising the importance of corporate and client relationships, the 2017 ASAP Serviced Apartment Industry awards are open for entries into 10 categories with the accolades being presented to serviced apartment operators, agents and industry aligned suppliers as we look to recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievements and innovations that play an important part in raising standards within the industry.

If your company works in the business of serviced apartments, the aparthotel, extended stay and short-term accommodation rental industry and has done something exceptional and you think is worthy of recognition by your peers, now is the time to stand out from the crowd and make your colleagues proud to participate in the ASAP Serviced Apartment Industry Awards Programme for 2017.

Below are the various categories, with entry requirements for each and what the judges will be looking for in your entries.

Serviced Apartment Marketing Award

The Serviced Apartment Marketing Award recognises a marketing, PR or advertising campaign that has proved to be original, innovative and particularly effective.  This can be a one-off campaign or part of a sustained strategy.

Judges will be looking for:

  • Explanation of your target audience
  • Objectives of the campaign
  • Identification of market or end user
  • Description of the marketing activities deployed
  • Evidence of the creative/design elements of the campaign/s
  • Results achieved

Eligible to enter:  Agents, operators, members and non-members in the serviced apartment, the aparthotel, extended stay and short-term accommodation rental industry.  Open to companies of any size and geographical location

Serviced Apartment Corporate Account Management Award

The Serviced Apartment Corporate Account Management Award is open to companies of any size and structure who can demonstrate excellent team/client relationships. The entry should demonstrate a genuine strategic and collaborative partnership; one that delivers innovation, quality and continuous improvement.

Judges will be looking for:

  • Evidence of strong team/client relationship
  • Demonstration of growth through client engagement
  • Mutual development via effective planning and delivery
  • Future planning for the account - retention and innovation

Eligible to enter:  Agents, operators, members and non-members in the serviced apartment, the aparthotel, extended stay and short-term accommodation rental industry.  Open to companies of any size and geographical location.

Serviced Apartment Investment in People Award

The Serviced Apartment Investment in People Award is for outstanding customer champions – businesses that operate customer-centric organisations where the customer is truly king!

Judges will be looking for:

  • Methods used to monitor customer satisfaction levels
  • How you empower your employees to ‘delight’ your customers
  • Employee training procedures to enhance customer satisfaction levels
  • Resources and tools implemented to support customers out-of-hours
  • Your process for customer complaints and follow-up

Eligible to enter:  Agents, operators, members and non-members in the serviced apartment, the aparthotel, extended stay and short-term accommodation rental industry. Open to companies of any size and geographical location

Serviced Apartment Rising Star of the Year Award

The Serviced Apartment Rising Star of the Year Award is open to business owners, professionals and talented managers, this award recognises a young business person under 35.  The individual will be able to demonstrate enterprise, innovation, entrepreneurial flair and show evidence of running a business or making significant contribution to the organisation, with a proven track record of growth, employment and financial success.

Judges will be looking for:

  • Strong leadership and vision
  • A clear understanding of business and financial planning
  • Evidence of contribution to the community and business in your region
  • Evidence of contribution the sector

Eligible to enter:  Agents, operators, members and non-members in the serviced apartment, the aparthotel, extended stay and short-term accommodation rental industry.  Open to individuals under age 35 from a company of any size and geographical location.

Serviced Apartment Team of the Year Award

The Serviced Apartment Team of the Year Award recognises companies where each and every member of the team matters and makes a difference. The winner of this award will be able to demonstrate how the development or implementations of its teams across the organisation has helped to meet the objectives and importantly achieve a successful business environment and thriving internal culture

Judges will be looking for:

  • The company should demonstrate how a dynamic team is fundamental to achieving business goals
  • Evidence in business strategy and performance which has led to company success
  • Evidence of how the team delivers over and above that which is expected both internally and externally

Eligible to enter:  Agents, operators, members and non-members in the serviced apartment, the aparthotel, extended stay and short-term accommodation rental industry.  Open to companies of all sizes and geographical location

Industry Breakthrough & Innovation Award - Operators & Agents

The Industry Breakthrough & Innovation Award for Operators & Agents is for a company  which demonstrates a product or service innovation that has led to commercial success or had a significant impact on the serviced apartment, aparthotel, extended stay or short-term rental accommodation industry. .

Judges will be looking for:

  • The journey that led to the development of your innovation, including details of research
  • The benefits and impact of your product or service to the users
  • The commercial success and financial performance if applicable
  • The measurable impact the innovation has had or will have

Eligible to enter:  Agents, operators, members and non-members in the serviced apartment, the aparthotel, extended stay and short-term accommodation rental industry.  Open to companies of any size and geographical location.

Industry Breakthrough & Innovation Award - ASAP Business Partners

The Industry Breakthrough & Innovation Award for ASAP Business Partners is for a sector aligned supplier company which demonstrates a product or service innovation that has led to commercial success or had a significant impact on the serviced apartment, aparthotel, extended stay or short-term rental accommodation industry.

Judges will be looking for:

  • The journey that led to the development of your innovation, including details of research
  • The benefits and impact of your product or service to the users
  • The commercial success and financial performance if applicable
  • The measurable impact the innovation has had or will have

Eligible to enter:  ASAP Business Partner supplier companies.  Open to companies of any size and geographical location.

Serviced Apartment SME Business of the Year Award

This Serviced Apartment SME Business of the Year Award recognises an outstanding small business over the last financial year.

Judges will be looking for:

  • A sound business plan and sales/marketing strategy
  • Strong management and leadership skills
  • Clear USP’s within the product/service offering
  • Exceptional customer satisfaction levels
  • Solid financial performance: (provision of 2 years audited accounts)

Eligible to enter: Agents, operators, members and non-members in the serviced apartment, the aparthotel, extended stay and short-term accommodation rental industry. Open to SME companies with up to 50 employees and which has been trading for a minimum of 2 years.

Serviced Apartment Corporate Business of the Year Award

The Corporate Business of the Year Award is open to entrants with over 50 employees and £1m turnover who can demonstrate outstanding business performance and a clear differential in its market place.

Judges will be looking for:

  • A sound business plan and sales/marketing strategy
  • Strong management and leadership skills
  • Clear USP’s within the product/service offering
  • Exceptional customer satisfaction levels
  • Solid financial performance: (provision of 2 years audited accounts)

Eligible to enter: Agents, operators, members and non-members in the serviced apartment, the aparthotel, extended stay and short-term accommodation rental industry.  Open to companies in any geographical location with a minimum of 50 employees and with a minimum turnover of £1m

Serviced Apartment Guest Experience Award

Entrants into the Serviced Apartment Guest Experience Award will provide evidence of an improved relationship with their customers and demonstrate an enhanced customer experience. This may be demonstrated by increased customer retention levels, increased revenue per customer,  improved customer satisfaction levels, or all of the above. This may have been achieved as a result of new products, services, pricing or communications.

Judges will consider specific areas:

  • Cleanliness
  • Security & Safety
  • In Room entertainment
  • Gift and complimentary/value add services
  • Online booking and payment processes
  • Customised choices
  • Repeat services
  • underground parking

Eligible to enter:  Operators, members and non-members in the serviced apartment, the aparthotel, extended stay and short-term accommodation rental industry who have gained  ASAP Quality Accredited Operator status.  Must be fully accredited at time of submission closing date. Open to companies of any size and geographical location.
